boring.energy is a Colorado energy startup. We measure buildings that buy heat and reject heat at the same time, and we sell that measurement today. A programmable thermal-routing control layer is the destination — not this year's product.
Where we are
Denver / Front Range. Early-stage. Small. The company is funded by paid characterization work, and the near-term goal is a body of measured winter data from real buildings — not a pipeline of letters of intent.
Founder
Founded by Hudson R&D in Denver. The work is hands-on: the same people who scope a building are the people who instrument it and write the measured page.
What we are not
- Not an engineering firm. No PE stamp, no stamped opinion.
- Not an equipment vendor. We do not sell or install hardware.
- Not an ESCO. No performance contracts, no guaranteed savings.
- Not a residential business. Nothing here is for homes or farms.
- Not raising on LOIs. Data room only after winter measurement.
